Genius Hour TED Talk

I really enjoyed having the opportunity to learn about the Genius Hour by actually being able to participate in one myself! It’s not often that in your Teacher Education you get to actually participate in an innovative learning experience that you research, so I really valued this opportunity! I have done a lot of reflecting throughout my experiences with my Genius Hour as is shown through my blog posts. I also really enjoyed the opportunity to create a “TedTalk” of sorts to discuss my Genius Hour because I feel like this is such a great cumulative activity for the Genius Hour! I would love to get my students doing their own TedTalk. Students have the opportunity to be really creative and learn how to be concise in expressing their thoughts, as well as learn how to create an engaging oral presentation. At the conclusion of this experience, I can whole-heartedly say that this is something I would make a priority to include in my own classroom!
