TPACK Quest

During my Technology course at Brock, we participated in a Gamified program wherein all teacher candidates needed to complete a set of 6 Quest Badges. Our first badge was the Gamification Badge in which we learned all about the concept of Gamification and how you can apply it to your classroom in a number of ways. Next we participated in a Digicitizen badge in which we learned about how to be a responsible digital citizen through copyright laws and practices. Moving on from there, the next two weeks we completed PBL (Problem Based Learning) and PJBL  (Project Based Learning) Badges where we learned all about these two strategies of learning and how they differ and are similar. In the following week we worked on a Digital Teacher Badge where we learned about the world of flipped, blended, and online classrooms. In our final week, we also completed an Optional Module in which I chose to explore Mobile Learning!

Throughout this TPACK Quest, I have learned a lot about utilizing technology in the classroom. If I had to choose my favorite badge, it would have to be the Mobile Learning Badge. I really appreciated being able to learn about Mobile Learning with the Optional Module portion of the TPACK Quest. I was able to add a lot of tools into my technology toolbox by browsing all of the different apps you can use in your classroom for a variety of purposes. I was able to create a Popplet of my Mobile Learning Toolkit and show apps that you can utilize in the classroom for sharing ideas, taking notes, sharing and collaborating, as well as for independent learning support. Many of these resources are free and can be used on many different operating systems so you are not restricted to just one server like Apple. I have attached the image of my Mobile Learning Toolkit below for reference!
